Artist Bio
Growing up in a quiet Maltese town, I remember having a small collection of art supplies, blank paper and colouring books, which I always found my way back to. Later on, in my scholastic years, art became my favourite subject, leading me to study at MCAST ICA.
The journey of my artistic style began in 2022 when I dedicated a project to psychedelic art of the 70s era. Within research and artistic experimentation, I found an era full of colour, pattern, and importance towards nature and freedom.
My artwork aims to express a sense of joy, freedom and even a small spark of spirituality. Allowing viewers a sense of comfort and belonging, connecting those light-hearted wildflowers seeking to escape the draining aspects of the dynamic modernity we face.
Growing up, I rarely felt as though I belonged since my peers always seemed several steps ahead of me, whereas I simply wanted to move at my own slow pace. I want to allow a home-like space for those wildflowers who, like me felt misunderstood or undermined at times.
